James and Jeremy Simmons are owners of Simmons Logic Solutions Inc. With over 30 years experience operating heavy equipment, working in construction and the Forestry Industry.
Our team have a desire to adapt innovative practices. We are committed to revolutionizing heavy equipment operating business, to address the environmental challenges of today. Additionally, SLS Inc. have recently expanded their services to include landscaping and residential services. Economic and Environmental sustainability is a key driver to our innovations. We use technology and logic-based problem-solving techniques to find solutions. Our team takes great pride and has a strong passion for fostering creativity in our work.

Simmons Logic Solutions Inc. is owned and operated by local brothers, James & Jeremy Simmons.
James and Jeremy first came to Ear Falls in 1995 with their parents from Nipigon. Mr. & Mrs. Simmons ran a restaurant with the help of their six daughters and Mr. Simmons owned a few wood haul trucks. The Simmons relocated to Ear Falls for work after Mr. Simmons got into the Forestry Business.
During their formative years, the boys had the privilege of working alongside their dad in the Forestry Industry for his company. From a young age, they eagerly took on various responsibilities and tasks, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the field. “We are grateful for the guidance and mentorship provided by my dad during this time”, says James.
In 2004, James and Jeremy took over the business “Simmons Logging”. At the time, they owned a few pieces of forestry equipment and worked for a local forestry company R&W. In 2006, they began building and maintaining roads for the Logging Industry and still do today.

“We’ve grown steadily over the years, and are proud to employ locals and expand the services we offer here in our hometown of Ear Falls. We have bought several pieces of equipment and hold two aggregate permits for top soil and gravel. In Sept 2022, our company was incorporated and became ‘Simmons Logic Solutions Inc’. Over the last few years, we have done work for the township, landscaping, and various infrastructure jobs. We supply and deliver several businesses with aggregate material.”

“We love our home in Northwestern Ontario and feel very strongly about sustaining our natural resources. In addition to caring for the boreal forest environment surrounding us, we also care immensely about safety. We believe in making a safe workplace for our employees and others. We own various pieces of equipment: Graders, F550 Steel Dump Box Super Duty Trucks, Excavators (several sizes), 560 Loader, Bed Truck with Gin Poles & Live Roller, Water Truck and Half Ton Work Trucks.

FIREFIGHTING
Our Water Tender truck is a specialized vehicle to transport water to locations where needed. Its tank holds 8750 gallons of water and is equipped with various features such as pumps, hoses and spray nozzles to efficiently distribute water as needed. There are several ways it is used as a preventative measure such as; washing equipment clear of combustible debris or using water to douse hotspots and prevent them from reigniting and evolving into full-fledged fire.
AGGREGATE
We hold two aggregate permits, top soil and gravel. These can be processed to meet your specific specifications. Delivery is available upon request.

We participate in community events like the Christmas Parade and created our own SLS Ice Fishing Derby. The Ice Fishing Derby fetched $1000 in prizes, with 1st prize for the biggest walleye receiving $500, 2nd prize for the most fish receiving $300, and 3rd prize for the biggest northern receiving $200.
